At Mephisto Bordeaux, we ensure the quality and durability of each of our products. If, despite this, a manufacturing defect occurs, we provide support for one year after the purchase, entirely at our expense.
Here is the procedure to follow in this case:
Proof of purchase : in order to process your request, proof of purchase is essential. Please send us the receipt, the order reference (online purchase), or your full contact details so that we can identify your purchase. Please note that the purchase must have been made in our Mephisto Bordeaux store or on our website.
Proof of the defect : send a photo of the defective item by email to contact@chaussuremephisto.fr or come directly to the store for an on-site inspection. Once the proof has been submitted, please wait before entrusting your pair of shoes to us. A pre-request must be made to the supplier before any final drop-off.
Dropping off the pair : you can drop off your shoes directly in-store, where we will take care of sending them to the factory for inspection, or you can send them to us by post. We will provide you with a prepaid return label to affix to the parcel. Shipping costs are fully covered by Mephisto Bordeaux for online purchases. For items purchased in our physical store, a fee of €8 will be applied.
Return to the Mephisto factory : the item is sent to the factory for inspection. Only the factory is authorized to determine the nature of the defect and the appropriate solution. The average processing time is 3 to 4 weeks after receipt.
At the end of the inspection, if the defect is confirmed:

The pair will be repaired.

If repair is impossible, it will be exchanged for the same identical model.

If no solution is possible, a store credit for the amount of your initial purchase will be granted, valid for 1 year.
This process guarantees comprehensive and fair handling, in line with Mephisto’s quality standards.
